This new lakefront home in a modern farmhouse style is perched on a clearing surrounded by woods overlooking Belleville Lake. The main house was designed to host holidays for over 20 family members and guests. There are also two other complimentary buildings on site. Careful consideration was given to the location of a barn and guest cottage. A key component in their design is their relation to main house and the natural characteristics of the land to protect the 200 year old oak trees. The final position and form of all three buildings were the result of investigating and imagining how guests and family members would interact with each other.
