The Marsden II
This is an unbuilt concept for a new craftsman style home. The straight and clean lines of the craftsman bungalow reflect the desires at the beginning of the 20th century for the home to be simple, efficient, and natural. This design carries on those still relevant desires with its semi-open layout providing an informal orderliness, reducing noise and visual chaos. A unique feature about this design is its central fireplace inspired by examples of historic New England homes where the thermal mass would radiate heat into nearby rooms.
